THE SOUND OF HUNGER

Interactive web animation and social video, 2021

After COVID-19, the amount of people requiring food relief doubled. A third of them were experiencing hunger for the first time. We needed to bring to life the depth, diversity and discomfort hunger across Western Australia.

We made an unsettling, layered soundscape.

The sound of hunger.

In digital, social and press - and most notably on an interactive website showcasing the individual layers of the sound - bold, dark animation brought the waveform of the sound to life.
